About The Position

The Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery) is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients across the LDRP continuum, including labor, postpartum, antepartum, and nursery settings. The RN delivers patient-centered, evidence-based care while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year of experience in Labor & Delivery or related specialty
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to manage maternal and newborn patients in a dynamic clinical environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• Active New Jersey RN License or Multi-State Compact License
• BLS (AHA)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• ACLS Advanced
• AWHONN or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Perform ongoing patient assessments to identify needs and prioritize care
• Provide therapeutic nursing interventions aligned with clinical best practices
• Manage patient care throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum phases
• Document nursing care in accordance with standards of practice and patient acuity
• Advocate for evidence-based care standards and quality improvement initiatives
• Support a patient-centered care model aligned with professional nursing practice
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on unit needs
