About The Position

Join Texas Health Denton as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery (L&D) department. This full-time position offers a day shift schedule, working from 7 AM to 7 PM, with three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours. The role comes with a sign-on bonus for eligible new hires, contingent upon a signed 2-year retention agreement. The L&D department is recognized as a Texas 10-step facility and has been designated as the 'Best Place to Have a Baby'. The unit features a robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and an engaged leadership team, providing a supportive work environment.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) is a plus.
• Experience with Level III NICU is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Monitor and assess patients during labor and delivery.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about the labor and delivery process and postpartum care.
• Assist in the delivery of newborns and provide immediate care as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
