About The Position

This is a part-time position in the Women's Health and OB Services department at Advocate Health. The role requires a commitment of 36 hours over a 6-week schedule, including one major and one minor holiday, with a portion of the hours needing to be on weekends or off shifts. The pay range for this position is between $37.50 and $56.25 per hour. The primary responsibilities include using the nursing process to assess patient needs, planning and implementing individualized interventions, and evaluating the effectiveness of care plans. The nurse will work collaboratively with healthcare team members to coordinate patient-centered care and promote patient safety. The position also involves ongoing patient assessment, discharge planning, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
• Demonstrates holistic patient care and ability to view situations from a patient and family focus.
• Proficient computer skills and use of electronic medical records systems.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively.
• Demonstrated ability to make critical, independent decisions.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
