About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center is responsible for providing individualized, age-specific care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. This full-time position requires the nurse to support the medical care philosophy and objectives of the hospital while adhering to nursing standards and regulations. The RN will participate in patient teaching, discharge planning, and performance improvement activities within the unit.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification or must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating.

Responsibilities

• Organize and administer individualized age-specific professional care to patients within the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Support the philosophy, objectives, mission, and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing.
• Practice in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association Standards of Practice.
• Participate in patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Engage in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
