Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing or an RN Multistate License from the NCL required.
Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) required.
1-2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
Able to complete AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.
This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.
