About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – IV Therapy to deliver high-quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role focuses on venipuncture and vascular access, including peripheral IVs, midlines, and PICC lines, while maintaining professional nursing standards and delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Successful completion of required pharmacology competency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Previous and current IV therapy experience required
  • Proficiency in peripheral IV placement, including pediatric and neonatal patients (within the past 6 months)
  • IV Certification (CRNI) required within 2.5 years

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PICC line insertion and ultrasound-guided PIVs preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PICC placement within the past year
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care using the nursing process while maintaining accurate, current, and compliant patient records
  • Assess patients, develop care plans, and communicate pertinent clinical information to interdisciplinary care teams
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses
  • Provide nursing care for patients requiring venipuncture and vascular access, including midlines and PICC lines
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the charge nurse role when assigned
  • Utilize computerized nursing and clinical information systems effectively
  • Serve as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and education
  • Participate in unit staff meetings and mandatory education programs
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety and infection control policies
  • Maintain ongoing professional development and demonstrate willingness to participate in nursing committees
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and represent the organization professionally within the community and workplace
  • Consistently deliver service excellence to patients, families, visitors, and colleagues
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership
