The R.N. IV maintains quality patient care through consistent standards of nursing practice in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Utilizes the nursing process: assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate to deliver appropriate individualized patient care. Responsible for orientation, training, precepting, and mentoring other personnel in the unit. Provides education to the staff and connects Rochester Regional Health to the nursing profession through research, publications, and presentations. The R.N. is key in creating an exceptional experience for patients and their families. The Acute Stroke Unit (7800) collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a delivery care model based on evidence-based practice to facilitate and optimize stroke care during the primary prevention and acute care phases of a stroke.
