About The Position

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registed Nurse to join our Interventional Radioligy team at our Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN. Responsible for delivery of quality patient care in accordance with established standards of practice. Assists the physician in performing invasive radiology studies, both diagnostic and therapeutic. Position will float between radiology and interventional radiology. Schedule: This position will be 0.80 FTE (64 hours per two-weeks). Shifts will be 8 hour day with staggiring start times of 7am-8:30am. No weekends.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing
  • 2 years IR, Critical Care Experience (experience with hemodynamic monitoring, advanced airways, vents, critical care drips, IV pressers, and ACLS related drugs) in one or more of the following areas: ICU, ED
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Assoc)
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
  • MN Registered Nurse (RN) License

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • Previous interventional radiology experience

Responsibilities

  • Respond to the hospital within 30 minutes of receiving a page.
  • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
  • Utilizes nursing process by assessing, implementing, and evaluating care given to assigned patients
  • Documents and reports patient progress in a clear, concise manner accurately reflecting patient outcome.
  • Coordinates patient care for physicians and other departments to ensure patient safety and compliance of physician s orders. Directs, coordinates and acts as a liaison for other health care personnel.
  • Communicates accurately and effectively with patient/family and healthcare members regarding plan of care, nursing interventions and patient information. Explains plan of care and nursing intervention to patient and family.
  • Collects and analyses pertinent data and/or clinical findings.
  • Incorporates clinical findings and scientific evidence in the development, coordination, and implementation of an individualized plan of care to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Evaluates progress towards goals and outcomes identifying opportunities for improvement and change.
