Interventional Radiology (IR) is a dynamic procedural department that performs a wide range of image-guided interventions using fluoroscopy, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to precisely target therapy. Many IR procedures offer minimally invasive alternatives to traditional surgery. The Interventional Radiology team collaborates closely with multiple specialties across the organization, including nephrology, urology, gastroenterology, cardiology, oncology, vascular surgery, and gynecology. Registered Nurses work side by side with a multidisciplinary team to support all aspects of patient care throughout the procedural continuum. The department manages a high volume of procedures, including—but not limited to—central venous access, image-guided drain placements, dialysis access maintenance, inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement, nephrostomy tube placement, and gastrostomy tube placement. This position is a Monday–Friday schedule with 10-hour shifts and shared on-call responsibilities. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of inpatient medical-surgical or other acute care experience. Training for ACLS and Moderate Sedation will be provided.
