This position delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process, which includes data collection and assessment, identifying and prioritizing patient problems/needs, and evaluating the process and outcome of nursing care. The role involves coordinating, providing, and directing patient teaching activities, as well as coordinating care provided by other health team members. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyze data, create and implement treatment plans, and evaluate their effectiveness. Responsibilities also include administering medications safely, serving as a point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments, acting as a patient safety advocate through quality improvement participation, and incorporating the professional practice model into care delivery.
