About The Position

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Interventional Imaging team at our West Bank Building in Mpls, MN location. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. Schedule: This position is a 0.60 FTE (48 hours per two‑week pay period) on 8‑hour day shifts. Start times rotate between 7:00, 7:30, and 8:00 a.m. On‑call coverage is required every 7 weeks, with two overnight call shifts per pay period including weekends.

Requirements

  • MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
  • PALS certification required
  • ACLS-willing to obtain within three months of hire
  • Required: minimum of two years of pediatric critical care: ED, CVICU, NICU, PICU and PACU
  • Proficient in infant and pediatric IV starts
  • Able to train to competency in the care of adult patient , including the procedural sedation of adults.
  • Able to triage various job requirements and situations. Highly adaptable and is self directed
  • Able to wear lead attie during radiologic procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • 3+ years experience in Critical Care, Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, or ED
  • Moderate sedation experience
  • Comfortable with airway management

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
  • Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
  • Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
  • Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
  • Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)
