Registered Nurses provide direct day-to-day care of patients and families. Practices to the fullest extent of their license in accordance with organizational policies. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, functions as a member of the Patient Focused Care Team in collaboration and implementation of the established patients plan of care. Participates with the Nurse Manager in continuous performance improvement. Provides care specific to ages and developmental needs of adult and geriatric patients. Management of acute cardiac care patients and invasive lines including carotid & femoral surgeries appropriate interventions, therapies and expected outcomes. Registered Nurses work 12-hour shifts (7A and 7P).

Requirements

• Current state RN license
• Associate's or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS Certification
• One year acute cardiovascular care experience or other comparable nursing experience

Nice To Haves

• ASLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
