About The Position

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0.01 Work Shift: Days/Nights (United States of America) Schedule: This position will provide as-needed coverage on both days and nights. The teammate is required to work one 12-hour shift per pay period (every 2 weeks) and may work additional 12-hour shifts as available and able, based on unit census, patient acuity, and staffing needs. Call Requirements: On-call utilization will remain based on unit census, patient acuity, and staffing needs. Teammate will be the first to be called off or placed on-call compared to full-time teammates, and will be the first to be placed on-call or canceled, except in events of other teammates being in overtime or scheduled to work an incentive shift. Summary of Primary Function Delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifies and determines the priority of patient’s problems/needs, and evaluates the process and outcome of nursing care; coordinates, provides and directs patient teaching activities and coordinates the care provided by health team members. Essential Job Functions In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates treatment effectiveness; administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and organization policies and procedures; serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments. Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department. Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery

  • Associate of Nursing, nursing (required) OR Diploma in Nursing (required)
