About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/PCU) . This travel opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong stepdown/PCU experience who are comfortable managing complex adult patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. Travel experience is required.

Requirements

• Active New York RN License
• Minimum 2+ years IMCU/PCU experience
• Travel experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• NURSYS report verifying active NY license and all RN licenses
• Skills checklist matching specialty
• Valid driver’s license (address must match candidate demographics)
• Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application
• Updated resume clearly documenting IMCU/PCU and travel experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to high-acuity IMCU/PCU patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV drips, and titrate vasoactive infusions per protocol
• Manage specialty equipment including chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, and temporary pacemakers
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Document all patient care accurately in EPIC EMR
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols
• Float to other appropriate units as assigned
