More about our team Fauquier Health offers a variety of Women’s health services from obstetrical care to delivery services in our Family Birthing Center, to an Intermediate Care Nursery (ICN). We offer same suite birthing experience, where delivering families can labor, deliver, and recover in the convenience of the same room. This role functions as the Neonatal Resource Nurse, cares for ICN (Intermediate Care Nursery) level newborns and stable post-partum couplets. This role is a great mix of routine care of uncomplicated newborns and mothers and attending deliveries, managing emergencies, transition, and transfers.

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current Virginia state or compact state RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 7 days of hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) may be obtained the week of orientation
  • Electronic Fetal Monitor (EFM) required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Women’s Services (NICU, L&D, ICN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
