Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care - Nights
About The Position
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Where You Will Work: Intermediate Care is a 24 bed stepdown unit that has a patient population with various degrees of pulmonary, neurological, renal, geriatric, and infectious disease processes. Patients receive an increased level of care that requires bedside monitoring. About This Location: Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, located in Winston-Salem, NC, is a key part of our nationally recognized academic health system. Our 885-bed tertiary care hospital houses the region’s only children’s hospital, burn center, and Level I adult and pediatric trauma centers. The campus is also home to a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and to clinical centers of excellence in multiple specialties including cardiovascular, brain health and neurology, sports medicine and orthopaedics, transplantation and nephrology.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Greater than 1 year of RN experience (RNs with less than 1 year of RN experience, please refer to postings that are titled New Graduate RN.)
