About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Step Down / Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Flexible Scheduling | Competitive Pay | Supportive Team Join a team that values teamwork, clinical excellence, and work-life balance. Scheduling & Flexibility Self-scheduling available Full-time, part-time, and per diem positions Day, night, and weekend-only shifts available Schedule preferences discussed during the interview process What You’ll Do As a Step Down / Intermediate Care RN, you’ll play a key role in caring for patients who require closer monitoring than Med Surg but do not require full ICU-level care. Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice Perform frequent assessments and closely monitor patient condition, recognizing changes and escalating care as appropriate Administer medications, IV therapies, continuous infusions, and treatments safely and in accordance with hospital policy Monitor cardiac telemetry and other patient monitoring equipment Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members to achieve positive patient outcomes Educate patients and families to support recovery, transitions of care, and discharge planning Respond promptly and professionally to patient needs, alarms, and call lights Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies and life-threatening situations Maintain a clean, organized, and healing patient environment Participate in unit-based Quality Assurance, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives Support the orientation and training of new staff and nursing students as requested Practice within the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies What We’re Looking For Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN preferred Active RN license eligible to practice in Wisconsin Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire) ACLS certification preferred or required within a defined timeframe Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills Ability to safely use patient care equipment and meet physical and cognitive job demands Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Pay & Differentials $33.50 – $52.50 per hour , based on experience Evening and night shift differentials Weekend Program differential available Benefits & Perks Medical, dental, and vision insurance 403(b) retirement plan with company match Tuition reimbursement and professional growth support Competitive Paid Time Off (PTO) Employee discount program Why Join Us? Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Active RN license eligible to practice in Wisconsin
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to safely use patient care equipment and meet physical and cognitive job demands
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • ACLS certification preferred or required within a defined timeframe
