About The Position

As part of the critical care service line, our Intermediate Care Unit serves a variety of complex medical and surgical patients that need frequent monitoring and nursing interventions. A 16-bed unit with the ability to expand to 20 beds, when necessary, the nursing staff working closely with Hospitalists and Critical Care Medicine providers to ensure timely and appropriate care of patients requiring various levels of high flow oxygen therapy as well as continuous IV Medications.

Requirements

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex.
• Assess evolving patient conditions and identify actual and potential health concerns.
• Develop appropriate care plans.
• Deliver interventions directly or coordinate through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.
