About The Position

The Registered Nurse will join an exciting, fast-paced 8-bed Intensive Care Unit at Community Howard Regional Health, caring for patients with the highest acuity, including those with heart failure, respiratory failure, renal failure, multisystem failure, complex electrolyte imbalances, and those recovering from complicated surgeries requiring intravenous infusions, extensive monitoring, and ventilator support. The role involves working collaboratively with a dedicated team to provide care for some of Howard County's sickest patients.

Requirements

  • Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)

Nice To Haves

  • ICU experience preferred
  • EPIC experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Care for the highest acuity of patients (including heart failure, respiratory failure, renal failure, multisystem failure, complex electrolyte imbalances, and complicated surgeries with intravenous infusions, extensive monitoring, and ventilator support capabilities)
  • Work collaboratively with a great team in this 8-bed unit to care for some of Howard County’s sickest patients
  • Demonstrate performance consistent with professional standards of practice, care, the Nurse Practice Act and the mission and goals of Community Health Network
  • Demonstrate skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation and management of resources
