Known as a Gynecologic Center of Excellence, our team of highly-skilled Registered Nurses in Inpatient Specialty Surgery independently provide acute care services to adult patients, with a focus on breast and plastic reconstruction, women's health specialties (gynecology), genitourinary, gastrointestinal, general surgery, ortho-spine, and other complex specialties. Working with a dedicated nursing team inclusive of a highly supportive leadership team, the Registered Nurse provides evidence-based, high quality care, including patient assessment and treatment, and serves as a resource for other team members.

Requirements

  • A degree from an accredited nursing school (a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, or agreement to enroll within six months of employment). New graduates are also welcomed.
  • A Registered Nurse license to practice in Maryland or the ability to obtain a Maryland license based on timeframe of licensing board.
  • Healthcare Provider-Level CPR (BLS) certification
  • In-house Nurse Residency Program (NRP) provided to all new graduates

Responsibilities

  • Independently provide acute care services to adult patients
  • Focus on breast and plastic reconstruction, women's health specialties (gynecology), genitourinary, gastrointestinal, general surgery, ortho-spine, and other complex specialties
  • Provide evidence-based, high quality care, including patient assessment and treatment
  • Serve as a resource for other team members
