About The Position

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient Rehab unit. This position is full-time, requiring 32 hours per week with an evening/night rotation. The RN will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, supporting leadership in compliance efforts, and monitoring safety and departmental policies. The role involves using clinical judgment to provide patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and advocating for patients and families. The RN will also integrate age-specific and culturally inclusive concepts into patient care.

Requirements

  • Associate/Diploma prepared RNs from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution.
  • 2+ years of experience required.
  • Active Ohio RN License.
  • If hired without a BSN or MSN, must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 1 year of hire date and complete program within 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Support leadership in compliance efforts to meet and sustain regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor safety and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all individual certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Collect clinical data and document the plan of care, care delivered, and patient and family outcomes.
  • Facilitate patient and family learning by providing structured education based on care goals.
  • Implement clinical changes and research-based practices to improve patient care.
  • Participate in shared governance and contribute to shared decision making.
  • Demonstrate consistent integration of the Interprofessional Practice Model in all aspects of practice.
  • Assess personal values and make ethical/moral decisions based on rules.
