About The Position

70% FTE, every Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am - 7:30pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at the University Hospital in Madison, WI. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: Communicate and coordinate Operating Room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical case progression and turnover between cases. Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient care within policies, procedures, and standards and care plan to perioperative patients regardless of complexity. Qualifications Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred Work Experience 6 months of recent independent PACU, Emergency Department, or Surgical Critical Care, Surgical ICU, Operating Room, or Surgical IMC experience Required 3 years of recent Operating Room or PACU experience Licenses & Certifications Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required Our Commitment to Social Impact and Belonging UW Health is committed to fostering a workplace that creates belonging for everyone and is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
  • 6 months of recent independent PACU, Emergency Department, or Surgical Critical Care, Surgical ICU, Operating Room, or Surgical IMC experience Required
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
  • 3 years of recent Operating Room or PACU experience
