Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois.
  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Illinois
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

Nice To Haves

  • Oncology Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation.
  • Analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnoses or issues.
  • Identifies realistic and measurable outcomes which are complimentary to medical plan of care and centered on the patient’s and family's/significant other's needs and appropriate practice guidelines.
  • Collaborates with co-workers, physician, other disciplines, patient, and family to develop individualized plan of care to address patient diagnoses or issues that attains patient outcomes.
  • Coordinates care delivery - Assumes responsibility for assigning and coordinating patient care with ancillary personnel consistent with patient needs, staff competencies and licensure.
  • Evaluates progress towards attainment of outcomes.
  • Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
  • Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice.
  • Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of practice.
  • Provides care consistent with the Code of Ethics for Nurses
  • Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
  • Collaborates with patient, family and others in the conduct of nursing practice
  • Collaborates with other health professionals and the public in promoting community, national, and international efforts to meet health needs.
