About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN II) position in the Ortho Neuro department at Texas Health Arlington is a full-time role on the night shift, requiring 36 hours of work per week. The nurse will be responsible for admitting patients with knee, hip, shoulder, and broken bone injuries, as well as back surgery patients. The department also handles telemetry and medical-surgical patients. The work hours are from 7 PM to 7 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
• RN- Registered Nurse license upon hire required.
• BCLS- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
• CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within 90 days required.
• BCMSN- Board Certified Medical-Surgical Nurse upon hire preferred.
