Staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), our ICU operates with a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio average. We offer Telehealth intensivists for immediate support and manage a diverse range of diagnoses including respiratory failure, cardio/pulmonary disease, sepsis, and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, administering specialized treatments, monitoring critical conditions, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This position provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where teamwork, critical thinking, and compassionate care are paramount.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license.
  • Associates degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage nurse schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all units, addressing gaps due to absences or increased patient acuity.
  • Assign nursing staff based on patient needs, acuity levels, and staff competencies to optimize care delivery.
  • Respond to emergencies such as patient crises, natural disasters, or security incidents, implementing appropriate protocols and coordinating with relevant departments.
  • Serve as the liaison between nursing staff, physicians, patients, families, and hospital administration, ensuring effective information flow and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Uphold hospital policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Monitor patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to maintain optimal bed utilization and reduce bottlenecks in patient care services.
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, addressing clinical questions, facilitating professional development, and promoting a positive work environment.
