The Banner Baywood Intensive Care Unit ICU is a two-time Silver Beacon Award Winning ICU, recognized by the AACN (American Association of Critical Care Nurses) as a measure of excellence signifying exceptional care through improved outcomes and overall satisfaction. We are a busy 26 bed Medical Intensive Care Unit with some of the highest APACHE scores in the Banner System. The patient population has the frequent diagnoses of; Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, Stroke, Trauma, and DKA. As a Critical Care RN in the ICU, we currently have an opportunity for a full time night shift. You will also have the opportunity to utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. This is a full time night shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
