Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU – Full-time, 7P Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132 Work hours \: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7\:00 pm – 7\:00 am Department Highlights ICU Department (18 bed); 1\:2 nurse to patient ratio High acuity level of care Patient population includes respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, renal failure, cardiovascular issues, isolation patients, etc. The department prides itself in high performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team MAGNET facility Level III Trauma Center Here’s what you need Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required) Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly ACLS – within 90 days of hire CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire NIHSS – within 6 months of hire required 1 year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required Current RN experience in ICU setting preferred - will consider PCU experience In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs. The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations. What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process assesses the patient plans the care of the patient intervenes as appropriate evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
