About The Position

At Johnson Memorial Hospital, Registered Nurses (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) deliver patient care to individuals in critical condition. Johnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services provide a continuum of health care services to those living and working in north central Connecticut and western Massachusetts. Requirements

Graduation from an accredited nursing school
Valid RN License in Connecticut
Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training
BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
One or more years of ICU, Critical Care, or Step Down nursing experience
ACLS certification (support available for certification post-hire)

Responsibilities

Assume responsibility for Critical Care Patients, conducting assessments, devising care plans, and adjusting critical drips to ensure hemodynamic stability and appropriate sedation levels.
Attend to patients requiring advanced monitoring, heightened observation, utilization of invasive equipment, and administration of intricate medication regimens.
