About The Position

The Registered Nurse uses critical thinking skills to coordinate and provide safe, quality care to patients by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role also involves assisting with organizing patient care activities as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of Registered Nurse Program
• License: REGISTERED NURSE
• Certifications: BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN )
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA) (within 90 days for inexperienced RNs)
• Certifications: NIH Stroke Certification (within 60 days of hire or transfer)
• Certifications: PALS (within 90 days of hire or transfer)
• Certifications: Basic EKG
• Certifications: Critical Care Course & Trauma Course (within 6 months for inexperienced RNs)
• Certifications: TNCC (within 18 months of hire or transfer)

Responsibilities

• Assesses physical, psychosocial, educational and growth and developmental needs of the patient
• Develops a written plan of care using assessment data
• Implements nursing care plan
• Evaluates patient's response to interventions
• Demonstrates leadership skills
• Assists in organizing Patient Care Activities
