About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the ICU department at Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL, with a schedule of nights, 7p-7a, 12-hour shifts. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. This role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice, and directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients, communicating with physicians about changes in clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, and abnormal symptomatology. The RN must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment, and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

Current and valid state RN License
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital

Nice To Haves

Completion of Critical Care Course preferred
Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Critical care experience preferred

Responsibilities
