About The Position

The ICU (Critical Care) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, determining the priority of the patient’s problems and needs, implementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care, developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• 1 year of RN experience (required)
• 6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit (preferred)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred, not required)
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 6 months of hire)
• 2 years of acute nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessment, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Synthesize and prioritize information in order to take immediate and decisive evidence-based, patient-focused action using clinical judgement and clinical inquiry
• Anticipate and respond with confidence and adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
