Requirements

• ASN or Nursing Diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
• BLS upon hire and ACLS Certification within 6 months of start date.
• Documented completion of TCAR - Trauma Care After Resuscitation every 2 years.
• Completion of Critical Care Course after 3 months.

Nice To Haves

• Med./Surg. Telemetry and/or ICU nursing experience.
• CCRN.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice.
• Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members.
• Collaborates with other patient care providers.
• Sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care.
