Position Summary: The House Supervisor responsibilities include the management of the Nursing Department and the direction and supervision of hospital wide nursing activities on his/her designated shift . Administrative decisions utilizing knowledge of hospital policies and nursing standards . Knowledge regarding social, economic and legal issues affecting the healthcare System . Seeks opportunities for keeping up-to-date in healthcare practices Develops, directs, implements and ensures compliance with Standards of Nursing Practice that promote optimal healthcare delivery . Meets the Joint Commission Standards for Nursing . Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Associate's Degree in Nursing plus 5 years of RN experience may be considered in lieu of the BSN requirement.
A minimum of three years of recent nursing experience during which administrative and supervisor competence has been demonstrated
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri

Nice To Haves

Masters Degree is preferred.
One year management experience preferred.

Responsibilities
