About The Position

The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse responsible for overseeing hospital operations and nursing care during assigned shifts, including staffing coordination, patient flow, and bed placement. They serve as a resource and leader for nursing staff and other departments, providing guidance, education, and support to ensure quality patient care. Additionally, they manage hospital-wide situations, assist with data monitoring, and assume administrative responsibilities in the absence of leadership. The organization, HSHS, operates 13 hospitals and numerous community-based health centers and clinics across Illinois and Wisconsin, with 13,000+ colleagues. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice
  • 1 year Nursing experience
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as per local affiliate guidelines
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as per local affiliate guidelines
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) as per local affiliate guidelines
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as per local affiliate guidelines
  • COVID-19 vaccines or an approved medical or religious exemption (does not apply to positions that are classified as 100% remote)
