Provides nursing leadership for an assigned shift by supervising and mentoring staff, managing staffing levels based on patient needs and acuity, and ensuring safe, high-quality care. Assists with direct patient care and problem-solving as needed, including taking patient assignments. Supports staff with necessary equipment and resources and integrates evidence-based practices into clinical protocols. Addresses patient care concerns, coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers, and contributes to performance improvement initiatives. Conducts chart audits, supports staff development, and fulfills preceptor requirements. Collaborates with nursing leadership on reports, projects, and regulatory compliance, and serves as a resource in the use of the EMR system.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred.
