Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Hospital, is the third largest of Duke Health’s four hospitals and offers a comprehensive array of services, including cancer, cardiovascular, neuroscience, advanced gastrointestinal, and wound healing care. The Hematology Oncology/Infusion Clinic seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse who embraces our mission of Advancing Health Together.

Requirements

  • Must have 2+ years of RN experience to qualify for a PRN position.
  • Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program is required.
  • All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within seven years of their start date.
  • Nurses hired at Duke Health with a valid compact license are required to obtain their North Carolina nursing license within 90 days of their start date.
  • BLS required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive treatments for almost every type of cancer.
  • Conduct hematology and oncology consultations and follow-up visits.
  • Administer chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy infusions.
  • Perform blood transfusions and injections.
  • Offer survivorship care and manage acute symptoms.
