About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at HeartLife in Laurens, South Carolina, is responsible for implementing exercise regimens and education for cardiac patients. The RN will organize and teach educational classes aimed at enhancing risk factor modification and supervise exercise therapy to ensure sound principles of cardiovascular exercise training are followed. Additionally, the RN will assist other HeartLife Team members in managing patient care and services.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• One (1) year work experience.
• Three (3) years of work experience preferred.
• RN - REGISTERED NURSE - NLRN certification.
• BLS Certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient's individualized clinical plan of care.
• Monitors patients for disproportionate responses to clinical course, including medications, exercise training, and nutrition.
• Performs exercises with patients, demonstrating correct knowledge of exercise principles.
• Provides care to patients who develop cardiac problems during activity.
• Works with Heart Life Team members to coordinate interdisciplinary care.
• Manages all clinical equipment used in patient care.
• Contacts patients via telephone when absent or after discharge to provide education.
• Coordinates clinical outcomes for all patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
