About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) - Heart Failure Unit Full-Time - Day/Midnight 12-hour shifts Hours: 7A-7P & 7P-7A Weekends and holidays as required. Newark, DE The Heart Failure Unit (5E) at Christiana Hospital is a 36 bed unit. There are 12 beds for post op open heart patients. These patients are stepdown level of care, some with chest tubes/drains, large bore central line catheters, and external cardiac pacing wires. These patients are closely monitored and rounded on daily by the cardiac surgeon and the multidisciplinary team. Requirements

• BSN preferred
• Commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience
• At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse required
• BLS required
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware

Nice To Haves

• Previous stepdown experience preferred
• Previous critical care experience preferred
• ACLS preferred
