About The Position
This position provides patient care for patients in Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology Prep/Recovery. RN manages patient care pre and post procedure. Registered Nurse with inpatient and Cardiac experience preferred. Magnet designated facility with active shared decision-making councils. Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) candidates must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete the degree within 4 years of hire
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Michigan
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Experience in an acute health care setting
Nice To Haves
- Specialty nursing certification relevant to the clinical practice area preferred.
- Registered Nurse with inpatient and Cardiac experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for an outpatient Heart & Vascular procedural population, including interventional Radiology, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Neuro-Interventional, Electrophysiology, and Pain procedures
- Conduct case reviews and complete chart preparation 1-2 days prior to scheduled procedures
- Perform pre-procedure patient care, assessments, and accurate clinical documentation
- Deliver post procedure patient care, assessments, and required documentation on the day of the procedure
- Complete post-procedure follow-up phone calls to assess patient status and address questions or concerns.
