About The Position

The registered nurse will perform direct patient/resident care and delegation to patient care technicians in providing care and comfort to the residents. Knowledge and compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines relating to facility care will be maintained. This position has basic medical/surgical knowledge in order to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients. Eligible for up to a $14,000 sign-on bonus

Requirements

  • BLS - Basic Life Support Required Equivalent Experience - Within 1 month of hire or transfer
  • RN - Registered Nurse Required
  • TEAM ADVANCED: Techniques for Effective Aggression Mgt Required Within 6 months of hire or transfer (Employees who are in this position on or before 12/31/2023 will have 24 months to complete this certification)
  • ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required Required within 12 months of hire or transfer. Effective 5/8/24, current employees will have 12 months to obtain the certification.
  • Education: Associates Degree in Nursing required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly assesses patient’s/client’s needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.
  • Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care.
  • Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician ordered care accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
  • Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
