Requirements

• Holds current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state where the hospital resides.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of inpatient behavioral health nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Planning, coordinating, and providing patient care including interdisciplinary planning.
• Conducting discharge planning and patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Accessing community resources.
