Registered Nurse RN - Float Pool
About The Position
As a RN in our Float Pool, you will experience the multiple units and specialties that Resurrection has to offer. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provide a safe environment for patients and visitors. Communicate with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. (Only required for floating into E.R., O.R., PACU, Day Patient.)
- NRP and Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days for employees floating to Women’s Services.
- TNCC within 12 months of hire for employees floating to Emergency Department.
- Able to float to two (2) or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
