About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides quality patient-centered care considering age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. They consistently integrate concepts of relationship-based care into practice and serve as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit. The Nursing Resource Pool offers increased flexibility in scheduling, while allowing floating only at the Ann Arbor hospital. Employees are supported with focused orientation and training about equipment, processes, and procedures, making float pools a reliable resource for units, which means more manageable patient ratios. Float Pool colleagues are treated as highly valued team members at Trinity Health Michigan.

Requirements

• Current Michigan Nursing License.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• One year of recent nursing experience working in a hospital with similar patient populations.
• New hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in ICU nursing.
• Canadian Nurses are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient-centered care considering age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Integrate concepts of relationship-based care into practice.
• Serve as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.
• Float to PCU as needed.
• Work a minimum of 32 hours on weekends within a 4-week schedule.
