About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Fellow position at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is designed for energetic, patient-centered individuals seeking to develop their nursing skills in a supportive environment. This full-time role involves working in the Comprehensive Medical Unit, which caters to a diverse patient population, including cardiac, neurological, medical, and surgical patients. The RN Fellow will receive mentorship and training to enhance their clinical competencies while contributing to a collaborative team focused on improving patient outcomes.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing; if holding an ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in Virginia under the eNLC.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
• Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a caring demeanor towards others.
• Values team collaboration and possesses proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Home Health, Long Term Care, Rehab, or Outpatient settings.
• Previous International RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the RN Fellowship program to develop clinical skills in a specified service line.
• Learn under the supervision of experienced RNs and through various training formats.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, team members, and medical providers.
• Create a collaborative team working environment.
• Utilize new knowledge and skills in patient care delivery settings.
• Focus on improving patient outcomes and the patient experience of care delivery.
