About The Position

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Gastroenterology Lab/Endoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology team. RNs rotate between pre-op, intra-op and PACU. Regular work week is Monday-Friday, No weekends, No holidays. Call is taken on a rotating basis for after-hour emergencies-nights, weekends & on holidays. This position offers the opportunity to be cross trained for our Interventional Pulmonology services and the team functions as one unit taking care of GI and IP patients in both PreOp and PACU. This is a full time, 4x10hr shifts per week. Call is taken on a rotating basis for after-hour emergencies, on weekends & on holidays. Our experienced, enthusiastic, welcoming team works with both inpatients and outpatients performing advanced endoscopic and pulmonary procedures on adults and pediatrics.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• One year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an OR fellowship.
• If PACU Nurse, one year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required.
• Basic Life Support certification through AHA.
• Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associate's Degree, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between pre-op, intra-op and PACU.
• Provide care for GI and IP patients in both PreOp and PACU.
• Participate in after-hour emergency calls on a rotating basis.
