Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- 0+ years’ experience.
- Current NJ Registered Nurse License.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Strong assessment skills along with some case management knowledge when caring for short-term patients
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years’ experience as RN working in an Endoscopy department.
- Certification in specialty.
Responsibilities
- The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with the physician and the anesthesia health care providers to determine patient needs during Endoscopic & GI procedures to assume responsibility for patient care, document and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensure a safe environment of care.
- The Registered Nurse will be knowledgeable about the scrub and circulation of duties performed in the department.
- Age Specific Competencies – age of the patient populations served (Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric)
