About The Position

RN - Recovery/PACU - Team Lead Position 70 hours a pay period, 0630-1700. Call required. Position Summary: Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Meets the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families. Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Reports to the Director of Surgery. Essential Functions Additional Information Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult. Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present; may involve contact with patients, blood, body fluids, or specimens. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Education : Associate's Degree in Nursing required (current RN licensure accepted in lieu of degree); Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: Previous PACU experience preferred / Previous Team Lead and or Charge experience License: /Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BLS required; ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire (PALS not required for Pain Clinic RNs). Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required (current RN licensure accepted in lieu of degree)
• Current RN license in state of practice
• BLS required
• ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire (PALS not required for Pain Clinic RNs)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Previous PACU experience preferred
• Previous Team Lead and or Charge experience
