Relocation Assistance (based on eligibility) Clinical Nurse II – Duke Regional Hospital - Endscopy Services Duke University Health System seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - CN II who will embrace our mission of Transforming Lives Transforming Care. Required: ACLS certification and at least one year RN experience Preferred: At least two years RN experience and moderate sedation experience. Department Profile: The Endoscopy Services Department at Duke Regional Hospital is a Gastroenterology/Bronchoscopy procedural area with four procedure rooms. Our team is active in delivering exemplary care for each patient to ensure an excellent patient experience, every time. Registered Nurses (RNs) in Endoscopy will have the opportunity to assess, prepare, and monitor the patient population prior to, during, and after their GI or Pulmonary procedure (colonoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, and bronchoscopy). This job function requires the nurse be able to recognize and act on potential life threatening changes of patient condition as well as multitasking, critical thinking, and working with a diverse group of other medical professionals. This includes interpretation of EKG’s, including rhythm and ST changes, as well as be responsible for the delivery of Pharmacologic agents ordered along with continuous monitoring of vitals during the procedures. Shift: FOUR, 8-hr shifts Monday through Friday. Alternating arrival times beginning at 7:00am up to 8:30am. Rotating Standby Call responsibility is for emergencies only - approximately one week every 10-12 weeks: After hours (5pm - 7am - 14hrs), weekends (24hrs) and Holidays for Emergencies. Standy call is always with a Surgical Technician. Call schedules are posted 12 weeks in advance. Staff schedule is posted 8 weeks in advance. Occ Summary Independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
