Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing Required. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred.
- An Active Arizona RN License or Compact License required.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS required upon hire.
- TNCC required within 6 months of hire.
- Moderate and Deep Sedation, EKG Course and NIHSS Stroke Scale within 30 days of hire.
- 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department preferred. 1 year of experience as a Paramedic; EMT or ED Tech combined with 1 year of RN experience will be considered.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred.
- 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department preferred.
Responsibilities
- performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
- Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
