The Emergency Department at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. The ER has 22 beds, 7 bay fast track unit operates within a trauma III hospital setting, ensuring patients receive optimal medical attention and support. The Emergency Department has been recognized company wide as a consistent top performer. The ED staff works in a team environment. The ER welcomes many area college and physician resident students in the department.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license or a current multistate compact license.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (or obtained within 90 days after hire date).
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification (or obtained within 6 months after hire date).
  • Current American Heart Association PALS Certification (or obtained within 6 months after hire date).
  • NIHSS Certification obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
